About Dave Moore

For the past 25 plus years David Moore’s diverse drumming abilities has kept him on the stage , in the studio and touring with some of the best names in music.

Currently David sings and drums fronting his own band NOLA Swagg which mixes New Orleans funk with our North East blend of experimental Jazz, funk, an RnB styles.

He has either toured or recorded with Rick Danko (Bob Dylan and The Band) , George Benson, Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic), Ronny Jordan, Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth), Tony Trischka, Nona Hendrix (Labelle), Rachelle Farrell, Martha Reeves, Hubert Sumlin, Popa Chubby, Lonnie Shields, Kurt Ellington, Steve Turre, Slam Allen, Oz Noy, Vic Juris, Tom Monda (Thank You Scientist), Rufus Reed along with many more.

David was Born and Raised in New Jersey and has an even more extensive list of NY/NJ local artist he has played an recorded with. Some of the notable one are Stars (cover bands sub- Dog Voices, Urban Trip, The Benjamins,Good girls don’t) Melvin Davis, Kings in Disguise, Billy Hector, Saron Crenshaw, Dave Fields, Melvin Sparks, Mark Bowers (Lil Bastad, Manhattans) , Dave Stryker and countless others.

In Grade school he studied with local legend drum teacher “Muzzy” Mizzoni. High School David Studied privately with Glenn Weber and Sonny Igoe (Woody Herman, Benny Goodman) from Westwood nj, not to forget also some great lessons with Frank Pagano. Shortly after graduating high school David Attended Manhattan school of music Jazz program (Justin Diccico, Ralph and Dave Lalama) his College years tho were at Rowan College (Bob Brosh and Dean Winton) and Seton Hall university. He also found time to study with Master Teacher Gary Chaffee in Boston.

David is presently writing and working on his first solo album and plans on fulfilling many lifelong dreams in the near future.
